Jim Andrew

Jim was born in Denver, CO and grew up there meeting his wife, Cindy, of 41 years in high school. They have three married daughters with seven grandchildren. They moved to Wichita in 1998 and have been attending Central since that first weekend in Kansas. Jim has taught Sunday School, been involved in an outside men’s Bible study as well as  served on the board of His Helping Hands and our Elder Board here at Central. Jim works for Koch Pipeline Co.

Bill Blasing

Bill and his wife, Gina, have been attending Central for over 10 years.  During that time Bill has served our church body not only as an elder, but also as a leader in our Men’s Ministry and a part of our Men’s Prayer group.  He has also served as a substitute teacher for our high school youth bible study when needed. Bill is the Executive Director for the America’s Dentists Care Foundation, a national foundation that helps states throughout America provide oral health care to the underserved.

Steve Brunk

Steve is a lifetime member of CCC. He has served as chairman of the Elder Board, an equipping class teacher, and in numerous other volunteer positions. Steve was State Representative of the Kansas Legislature (2003–2016), is a lifetime board member of Campus Ministry Network, and was an organizer and past president of the Spina Bifida Association of Kansas. He is also the owner and president of Brunk Realty, Inc. Steve has been married to his wife Billie for 46 years, and they have two grown, married children and three grandchildren.

Jason Buckingham

Jason and his wife Lisa have been attending CCC since 2007 and became members in 2009. They have three children, Isaac, Finley and Micah who all attend CCA. Jason has been involved in a number of Central ministries including Life Groups, Awana, Discipleship Curriculum, Men’s Fraternity and other men’s Bible studies as well as serving in the nursery and youth services on Sundays. He also coaches youth sports outside of Central. Jason is a CPA and currently works for Foley Industries, Inc.

Tom Butz

Tom and his wife Denise have been members of CCC since January of 1995, when they moved to Wichita with Koch Industries. Tom is now retired and he and Denise are spending as much time as possible with their two children and four grandchildren. Tom is currently serving with the Salvation Army, His Helping Hands and men’s mentoring.

Mitch Herren
Vice Chairman

Mitchell Herren and his wife, Lisa, have been members of Central since 1993. They have three daughters: Brooke, Lauren and Taylor. Lisa and Mitch have been active over the years in a variety of ministries, including teaching youth and adult classes. Mitch is a former elder at CCC and an attorney.

Richard Ochs

Richard has been a member of Central Christian for 31 years and is a CPA. He has served as an elder and treasurer several times during that time. He and his wife, Judy, have been married 30 years and have served together in our children’s and youth ministries. Richard has served on the board previously and during those terms has served as our Treasurer as well as Chairman of the Board. They have two adult children (Justin and Jill) who have grown up at Central.

Myron Smith

Myron has been married to his wife Jami for 20 years, and they have two teenage children. Myron and Jami have been members since 1996. Myron has been attending CCC since 1995, where he has been involved in various ministries and volunteer opportunities, including leading small groups. Growing up as a missionary kid in Ethiopia, he has always had a heart for missions, which resulted in going to Bible College, serving on the Board of Directors for Hospitals of Hope and currently on the Missions Leadership Team at CCC for the past 7 years..

Gary Stamps

Gary and his wife Stacey have been married 23 years. They have two daughters, Alexandra and Anna, in college, and one son, Silas, at Trinity Academy. They have been members of CCC since 2014. Gary is currently serving with the Guest Services Team and is involved in various equipping classes. Gary is a 1991 graduate of the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has practiced in that field for 26 years. He owns and operates Animal Hospital at Auburn Hills.
